The Talent Mine is searching for a Healthcare Application Architect with strong EMR expertise for an immediate, full time opportunity. This is with a not for profit organization that is VERY mission driven in improving the health of their clients from a nationwide, holistic standpoint. Overview:

The "best fit" Healthcare Application Architect will own the software product architecture and developing our client's software engineering capabilities and technical strategy. Your leadership and organizational change skills will assist the teams in embracing efficient methodologies for building successful healthcare software solutions.

A day in the life will include the opportunity to..

  • Serve as the technical leader for all innovation related WIC projects/products.
  • Lead the technology strategy and vision in support of the WIC
  • Blueprint architect, including multi-year solutions to drive transformation and modernization
  • Provide recommendations and practical solutions that benefits the business based on emerging, disruptive technology or non-technology trends
  • Define a measurable future state architecture from concepts. Support business case development, cost modeling, goal definition and interpersonal impacts
  • Build project/product management teams that can ensure all projects/products are on time and within budget while meeting the needs of our clients and key collaborators
  • Serve as a WIC technical representative to the Board of Directors when needed
  • Work consistently with the Vice President of Corporate Development to manage and supervise all financial and business planning activities related to WICs technology projects
  • Support and advise the VP, Corp Dev, CEO, and CFO in decision-making
  • Lead and support program budgeting and strategic planning processes
  • Be responsible for the procurement process for IT solutions
  • Manage contractors and consultants, as well as recruit and retain a talented pool of IT, policy, and project management professionals

Ideal Qualifications to include:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, MBA a plus
    • 10+ years of software development and product architecture experience, including building distributed systems and applications
    • Hands on experience in cloud technologies and practices, building architecture that use cloud native services such as Azure, AWS, GCP, API gateway
    • Expertise in modern data, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning; and a passion to improve healthcare through technology
    • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and project management skills
    • Intimate understanding of HIE/HIT environments
    • Expertise in clinical (HL7, FHIR) and administrative (EDI) healthcare standards
    • Expertise in healthcare data – both claims and clinical (EHRs/EDRs)
    • Understanding of ICD-10
    • Ability to create complex solutions in white spaces (where solutions don't currently exist today)
    • Ability to design and implement all aspects of a solution in a clinical environment (i.e. Clinical and management infrastructure, IT services, software and hardware, Cloud-based solutions, etc.)
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to effectively work with people from a diverse set of background
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead people and project teams
