Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp., a major manufacturer in the pet industry, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative/Account Executive for the Southern California, Orange County, San Diego area.
**The Outside Sales Representative/Accounts Executive will be responsible for increasing sales within their respective territory. They will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. They will also monitor industry trends to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue.
As a member of the sales team, the Outside Sales Representative/Accounts Executive would be responsible for the following: **
- Develop key account plans for assigned accounts; implement account strategy.
- Implement and manage the effective delivery of key customer programs including communication strategies, customer training, issue resolution and utilization reporting.
- Ensure optimal client feedback to sales management or other departments with regard to product requirements and enhancements.
- Ability to show growth within existing accounts.
- Meet with top netting customers through on the road visits to discuss assortments and gain competitor advantage.
- Ensure that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable.
- Deal with customer service issues associated with orders such as miss-ships, missing items, wrong pricing, sent to wrong address, etc.
- Increase accounts by an established specific % each year while dealing with outside factors such as competitors and economic conditions and inside factors such as increasing cost of goods, stock levels, and product mix.
- Negotiate pricing for customer orders.
- Coordinate with and support/dc to effectively ship orders in a timely manner for high level accounts.
- Willingness to travel outside the geographical territory for purposes of attending conferences, training sessions, and/or area regional or national meetings.
Qualifications/experience: Preferred but not required for entry level candidates**
- Entry level - two-five years’ experience performing in the capacity of account management. Retail, wholesale, or manufacturer sales experience preferred but not required.
- Possess the ability to generate and foster relationships with customers.
- Strong negotiation, problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
- Experience with full sales cycle (prospect, qualify, negotiate, sell/up-sell, close, follow-up, maintain).
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience servicing assigned territory accounts.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a large sales team.
- Candidate must live in the area or able to relocate to the area.
