Description
As the Clinical Director of Nursing you will provides operational leadership for the clinical staff in all areas of the center, is responsible for education and competency monitoring, supervises clinical staff orientation and coordinates clinical activities and staffing as they pertain to the provision of convenient, cost-effective, and quality surgical care. In this role you also will:

Schedule:
Non-Surgery Days 7:30am/8:00am to 4:00am/4:30pm Surgery Days 5:30am/6:00am to 2:30pm/3:00pm (estimate of end time) **Flexibility on Friday's based upon the workload/hours during the week. Possibility of 4-10's Monday through Thursday, can be discussed with candidate. ** Currently Surgery days are Tuesday and Thursday. Mondays are going to be added in the coming months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize, define, and schedule clinical staff in the most effective efficient way possible
  • Monitor and work to improve efficiency of operations
  • Assure fulfillment of clinical orientation for all new staff
  • Create and Implement new ideas and systems to improve Center Quality and Operational Efficiency.
  • Regularly monitor clinical operations, programs, and physical properties to ensure Center remains in full compliance with all Medicare, State, Federal, and Accreditation requirements
  • Manage monthly staffing plans and daily assignments, assuring appropriate staffing levels for the clinical areas and budgetary guidelines.
  • Hold monthly meetings with clinical staff to review issues, priorities and resolutions
  • Manage annual clinical staff training program for center. Assure that education is compliant with Medicare and accreditation guidelines.
  • Work with department managers to review monthly expenses and implement modifications as needed
  • Work with Administrator to develop annual budget for center
  • Assist Administrator with management of clinical aspects of Center licensing, certification, and accreditation process
  • Participate in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures. Ensure that policies & procedures throughout the Center remain consistent with current protocols and actions.
  • Provide oversight and support of quality management and quality improvement monitoring
  • Attend appropriate State, Association and/or National meetings, educational seminars, and participates in healthcare industry news.
  • Clinical nursing duties as situation warrants

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Required Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license from a licensed school and is in good standing with State of Michigan
  • Five (5) years of nursing experience
  • Two (2) years of OR or PACU experience
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds to chest level and to turn, lift, transfer and position patients, equipment, and supplies
Desired Qualifications
  • BSN
  • Infection Prevention experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience working in an outpatient setting
