About the position:
The Roofsmith Project Manager is responsible for managing the production of all projects (roofs, gutters and siding) within his/her assigned region/team ensuring work is completed at the highest level of quality while maintaining defined profitability goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Pre-Construction
- Assists sales team with estimating jobs, considering feasibility of abnormal job requests
and other production consulting needs - Reviews projects once approved
- Identifies needed pre-construction meetings with the home owner and other Roofsmith employees
- Weekly Sales/Production check in with assigned sales team
- Weekly check in with Production Coordinator, Sales Team, and Director of Production
- Coordinates special projects as needed
- Home Owner communication as needed
- Assists sales team with estimating jobs, considering feasibility of abnormal job requests
- Day Of Project
- Reviews scope of work with crew, walks property to discuss specific needs, ensures
proper crew safety precautions are followed along with required property protection - Identifies and records pre-construction damage
- Inspects material to ensure accuracy and quality
- Sets up required Roofsmith signage/marketing materials
- Additional Work/Change Orders:
- Communicates any and all changes in work scope to the home owner and completes change
order form, gathering all necessary signatures. - Properly documents additional work including capturing required pictures
- Communicates any and all changes in work scope to the home owner and completes change
- Point of contact for crew
- Runs material as needed
- Reviews scope of work with crew, walks property to discuss specific needs, ensures
- Final Walk-Through - Day after install
- Picks up leftover materials*
- Captures completion pictures
- Communicates with HO findings from final walk-through, what to expect next and/or
collects final payments - Completes inspection report and performs small repairs
- Large repairs to be coordinated with crew/service dept
- Moves jobs to complete in Job Nimbus - DAILY
- Creates system that ensures proper job phase migration
- Multi-Trade Projects
- Communicates with HO throughout the duration of a multi-trade project - what to expect
next, timetable etc... - Assists the Production Coordinator in the coordination of project completion - crews,
needed equipment, city inspections etc...
- Communicates with HO throughout the duration of a multi-trade project - what to expect
- Crew Administration
- Assists in the onboarding of new crews
- Communication of crew notes from project final walk-throughs
- Assists in crew payments and backcharges as needed/directed
- Reporting
- Director of Production’s weekly tracker/Traction - By Tuesdays at 10:00AM
- Other reports as assigned
- Assists in building supplier relations with local vendors to manage material needs.
- Assists in Hover/Job Nimbus management
- Performs all other duties within the Production Department as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education and/or Experience – High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate);Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, Minimum of 3 years-experience in project management - preferably within the field of construction. 3-5 years experience within the construction industry.
- Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to interact effectively and present information in both written and oral form with management, customers, staff, etc.
- Mathematical Skills – Must be able to calculate job profitability, job costs for estimating purposes and other basic math functions
- Computer Skills – Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, PDF, Smart Phones
- Construction Technical Skills - Must be able to effectively and communicate construction details internally and externally, perform thorough job inspections and complete basic job repairs as needed
- Other Qualifications – Valid driver’s license is required with a clean driving record
- Communication – Writes and speaks effectively; manages difficult or emotional customer/employee situations; responds promptly to project/repair needs. Organization – Ability to coordinate multiple projects and team members to ensure timeliness and efficiency; responds to all communications in a timely manner with proper follow up.
- Problem Solving – Consistently demonstrates the ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; Asks the appropriate questions to understand presented issues and find the best solution; ability to collaborate with team members and other departments to find solutions in a timely manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90percent of the time while operating their computer and performing office work. The individual needs to occasionally move about inside the office; however, the majority of the Project/Construction Manager’s time will be spent in a company vehicle and on the jobsite. He/she will be required to regularly lift and transport materials weighing up to 75lbs, ascend and descend ladders to access job sites and safely and effectively navigate roofs of various degrees of pitch.
