Tex Tech Industries is hiring, we are looking for candidates who want to be a part of a growing and evolving leading global manufacturing facility is currently hiring a Loom Operator on the following shift:

C shift - Th-11am-5pm and Fr-Su 5am-5pm 42 hrs/week, plus a shift premium applies to this shift

Job Summary: The Loom Operator is responsible for setting up the machine in accordance with the set-up card as provided by the supervisor. The operator is required to retrieve the roll of material and set it up behind the loom. The operator then proceeds to place the material through the machine and bring it out to wind up in rolls. The operator is responsible for checking material to make sure it meets all specifications. The operator then cuts the material into the proper length and doffs the roll onto the truck. The roll is then pushed to the scales and weighed.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Operator must set up loom according to set up card.
  • Ensure that material being produced meets all quality standards.
  • Record all information needed on appropriate paperwork and/or computer (ie. oz./yard, thickness, width, etc.)
  • Operator must ensure that the loom is operating properly and be aware of the mechanics of the loom at all times.
  • Clean loom and area.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and safe work practices at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The positions require frequent standing and walking for up to 12 hours a day, frequent lifting, twisting, kneeling and bending. Frequent lifting of 10 to 75 lbs (with some assistance). Must have fine motor skills and manual dexterity along with good vision and be able to distinguish color variations.
