Job description

Weaving 31: Loom Doffer

Functions:

  1. Doff (take off) fabric from looms by placing on a buggy
  2. Maintain open line of communication
  3. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area
  4. Other duties as assigned

Equipment Used: Scissors, buggies, computer, compactor, tape, broom

Requirements: Must be able to recognize and differentiate written numbers. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.  Must be able to walk, bend, push, pull, stoop, stretch (arms and legs) and lift arms above head level while standing on cement floor. Not permitted outside of your assigned work area without your supervisor’s knowledge.

Safety:

  1. Hearing protection (when in required manufacturing areas) (company provided)
  2. Safety glasses (when in required manufacturing areas) (company provided)
  3. Use of proper lifting procedures
  4. General housekeeping rules
  5. Must complete and follow all required positional safety training
