Job Description

Summary: To ensure production and manufacturing equipment is running safely and maintained to the highest standards for efficiency and maximum capacity. Coordination and ordering of parts needed either for preventative maintenance or major replacements. Inclusive of daily maintenance of the site.

Day and Night Shifts available

  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Fabricate new Production machinery and/or parts and rebuild existing machinery in the plant when needed.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems throughout the company and make repairs as needed.
  • Set up and install new machinery in the Factory.
  • Maintain a quality record of attendance/punctuality.
  • Responsible for basic building maintenance.
  • Part ordering and coordination
  • Organizational skills both manual documentation and/or electronically.
  • Ability to work in and around chemicals; including but not limited to latex, biocides like Prevental D and Tinuvin 292, Lipase, and Fungicides.Some chemical reactions may happen.

  • Continuous Improvement to ordering process, preventative maintenance and overall processes.

  • Machine up time
  • Preventative Maintenance complete and on time
  • Work order requests completed and on time.
  • Work order coordination.
  • Parts Inventory & coordination.
  • Ordering of parts and replacement parts in a timely manner

Qualifications

Required Education And Work Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years’ experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience with electrical experience.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Knowledge and ability to operate a wide variety industrial shop equipment, including but not limited to a vertical mill and lathe for parts fabrication, welders, grinders, and forklifts.
  • In depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic processes. Understanding how things work.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Fundamental English and math skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving high speed machinery and mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. machine oils, metal fillings, acetone, paints, solvents, grease, cutting fluids, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock or vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
