Director Data and Analytics Master

As the Director of Data and Analytics, you're tasked with unlocking the potential of data to drive strategic insights throughout the organization. You will be central to the SAP S/4 transformation project, guiding the strategy, execution, and management of our data analytics framework, ensuring the SAP S/4HANA transition enhances operational efficiency, maintains data integrity, and fosters analytics innovation. Your experience in Program management, Data migration, Data Governance, Analytics, and AI, especially within manufacturing and leading large-scale ERP transformations, will be crucial. Your leadership is key to fostering a data-centric culture and deploying advanced analytics solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

May include:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data migration, data governance and analytics strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and the SAP S/4HANA transformation objectives.

• Direct the integration of data analytics and business intelligence tools with SAP S/4HANA to support decision-making and operational excellence.

• Responsible for guiding cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data migration, management, quality control, and analytics execution.

• Manages teams led by IT directors and project managers.

• Participates on cross functional teams to launch products, resolve issues, and support product improvements

• Communicates project plans and works cross-functionally to gain consensus from stakeholders such as marketing, sales and manufacturing

• Mentors and develops team members to prepare them for greater responsibility within the organization

• Prepares development, talent and succession plans for the team

• As the leader, grow the data analytics team, promoting innovation and continual enhancement.

• Work closely with senior leadership to pinpoint and exploit data-driven opportunities for strategic aims.

• Engage with internal parties to define and prioritize business requirements, transforming these into viable data products.

• Offer mentorship to your team, encouraging a standard of excellence and ongoing education.

• With oversight of a significant budget and a diverse global team, your resource management skills will shine, particularly in budget handling.

• Spearhead the integration of cutting-edge analytics and machine learning to refine business operations and achieve notable returns through AI and Gen AI in analytics solutions.

• Perform other tasks as assigned

Nature & Scope:

• Develops and implements strategic plans and objectives for the department/sub-function in an effective and innovative fashion

• Understands the business and can put together comprehensive department solutions 

• Works with other leaders to establish strategic plans and works towards achieving them

• Provides leadership and direction to managers in their respective division/department

• Sees to department staffing needs (e.g. interviewing, hiring, new hire and ongoing training, annual evaluations, etc.)

• Participates in budget development and monitoring of expenses

• Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines

Knowledge & Skills:

• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of mechanical design theory and practice

• Knowledge of refrigeration and/or air conditioning design and application

• Knowledge of specifications and standards used in the HVAC industry

• Proficiency with software including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

• Design for six sigma certification (preferred)

• Effective communication skills - both oral and written

• Effective project management skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Proven track record of leading data Migration, Data Governance, transformations and implementing analytics solutions at scale within the SAP landscape.

• Extensive experience in Program Management and Change management.

• Ideally has direct experience in the manufacturing industry

• Strong analytical skills with experience in predictive modeling, AI, and machine learning.

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire a team.

• Visionary and execution-driven mindset

• Proven ability to coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams of business, IT, and other key stakeholders

• Strong and effective communication skills and experience in presenting complex topics to C-level stakeholders

Experience:

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in data analytics

• 8 years plus in a senior leadership role.

• Experience in HVAC industry is a plus.

• Experience with cloud native Datawarehouse solutions like Snowflake with ERP solutions like SAP.

• Experience with ETL and Data Management tools like SAP BODS, AWS Glue, Informatica etc.

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or related field.

• Master’s degree preferred.
