Systems Administrator at Managed Service Provider

Our MSP company has an immediate opening for a capable, motivated Systems Administrator to assist with all aspects of the configuration and maintenance of the computer systems we manage. We run a fast-paced but casual office in a supportive team atmosphere. As we are a IT Service company in multiple verticals you’ll be exposed to many environments and gain plenty of valuable experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily system monitoring and manage all aspects of our customers platforms.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems related to workstations, laptops, end-user software, end user hardware, network, VPN, server, cloud services in office environments; Must be able to communicate solutions to end-users effectively in a professional manner.
• Sets up, and assists in the configuration of server systems, network equipment, cloud services like Office 365, workstations and firewalls both onsite and remotely.
• Administer network security measures to prevent system interruptions or breaches
• Track all work via provided ticketing system– billable or not.
• Provide an excellent example of customer service on all levels for the company.
• Share technical knowledge and help mentor fellow techs wherever possible.
• Work Service Requests as assigned according to company workflow procedures (highest to lowest priority; oldest to newest).
• Follow all company standards and procedures as currently documented.

Qualification and requirements:

• Previous experience as a network or systems administrator
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Experience working in the MSP field a plus
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
• 2+ years’ experience supporting and installing Microsoft Server Operating systems (Windows Server 2008 – 2016)
• 2+ years experience in Active Directory and Office 365
• 2+ years’ experience supporting and installing Windows and MAC Desktop operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, MAC OS)

At least one of the following industry certifications is highly preferred:

• MCSA
• Cisco CCNA
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Server+
• CompTIA Cloud+
