Position Summary

Delva Tool & Machine (DTM), a CMT company, is seeking a Contract Manufacturing Engineer for our Cinnaminson, NJ location. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for carrying out quality assessments and measurements on products within specified dimensions.

*This is a contract position for approximately a 90-day period of time. The position will work a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. The pay range for this position is between $57.70 - $72.12/hr. depending on experience*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive plans for the precision machining and assembly processes required to execute statement of work.
  • Convert drawings or solid models into practical work instructions and sequences.
  • Develop detailed work instructions and operational documentation.
  • Maintain reports and records to track project progress.
  • Input and maintain project-related data in the ERP system.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency for efficient project management.
  • Create and optimize CNC programs based on engineering drawings.
  • Use CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths and strategies.
  • Plan integration of machined components with purchased hardware.
  • Oversee assembly to ensure final assemblies meet quality standards.
  • Monitor machining and assembly processes for quality control.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to ensure project standards are met.
  • Work with engineering, production, and quality teams for seamless execution.
  • Provide project status updates and resolve technical concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold safety standards throughout planning and execution.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards proactively.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • 7+ years of prior experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer, or something similar, within an aerospace/defense machine shop.
  • Proven experience with routing and process development/creating in JB2 ERP Software.
  • MasterCam or Gibbs CAM programming expert.
  • Understanding of 5-axis programming.
  • Understanding of machining processes, including milling, turning, drilling, and grinding, as well as knowledge of materials and cutting tools.
