We seek a dedicated and experienced Buyer/Analyst to join our Business Development Team. The successful candidate will be required to have strong analytical skills within a supply chain and distribution organization. The Business Development Buyer Analyst will play a pivotal role in all areas of the purchasing and customer offer process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and TASKS:
- Vendor pricing analysis.
- Analyze and respond to customers’ RFPs.
- Inventory management, to include replenishment, DIOH, back orders, etc.
- Evaluates bids and negotiates prices for purchased goods at the most favorable terms for the organization.
- Identifying new business opportunities.
- Executive Reporting.
- Data Analytics and Database maintenance.
- Miscellaneous special projects and other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and EDUCATION:
- Communication: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers, vendors, executive team, or employees of the organization.
- Data Analytics: Must love Excel and be an advanced user in data mining and heavy data analytics experience. Profit margin analysis, supply and demand theory and forecasting is required.
- General Experience: Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in a relevant position. Experience must include utilization of various negotiation tactics, calculated risk taking and tenacious follow-up. Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Background Experience: Additional experience in retail planning/buying, purchasing, inventory control, or high-volume distribution is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Utilize Microsoft Excel (advanced), Access, PowerPoint to analyze data and create reporting as required by the business.
- Education: BS/BA Degree in Business, Economics or Finance preferred.
