The main priorities for the Distribution Analyst (DA) will be providing Strategic Analysis, Standard Reports, Non-Distribution Support, and Communication Assistance for the Business Unit (BU), Senior Director of Distribution (DOD), and Distributor Partner Managers (DPMs).
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Analysis Business Planning
    Annual Plans: Analyze preliminary revenue and budget data for SDOD approval
    Active in Planning Cycle (roll-up, plan-to-actual gap analyses, progress reporting, etc.)
    Distributor Partner (DP) Reporting Accuracy Validation (DP performance, live annual business plans, etc.)
    Support BU/SDOD Forecasting
    Distribution Cost Budget Analyses
  • Standard Reports and Processes
    Invoicing Validation: Accomplishes steps the DPM goes thru currently to validate invoices
    Invoicing: Directed to Distributor Partner for clean-up
    Standard Reports "Innovator" (re: continuous improvement on standardized reporting e.g., "Chain Performance Tracker")
    On-going Measurement of Phase 1 DP Management Project Results
    Canned Reports (defined by BU, DP management project, and team needs)
    Execution Reporting for RBNA
    SDOD BU Reporting (issues to cover, actions required)
  • SUPPORT of Other Functions
    Headquarters
    National Accounts
    All other functions at BU (Regional Account Manager (RAM), Director of Marketing/ Key Account Managers/ On-Premise/Musketeers, etc.)
    Manage Regional National Account Survey Process

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
  • EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, & EDUCATION (IF APPLICABLE) REQUIRED
  • 2+ years experience in Analyst role within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Experience in facilitating working relationships with finance leads at Distributor Partners
  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to convert analytics into insights
  • Sales-orientation, understands sales drivers and connections between data and sales execution
  • Good Communication skills, highly organized
  • Understanding of core distribution roles and organization
  • Knowledge of retail landscape (local accounts, regional accounts, and National accounts)
  • Comfortable in a non-field role (e.g., 90% in Office)
  • Ability to work cross functionally with RBNA, Business Unit, and retailers
  • Ability to work comfortably with IT "techy by nature"
  • High-Level understanding of RBNA reporting technology and capabilities
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage
  • Travel 0-10%
