Warehouse Shipping Clerk Job Summary

We are looking for a Warehouse Shipping Clerk in the Lancaster, TX area. We are looking for fast learners with experience in warehouse, shipping and experience in customer service is a plus! We are specifically looking for candidates that are seeking a long-term career with opportunities for growth, development, and advancement.

Warehouse Shipping Clerk Pay

  • Starting pay is $19.00

Warehouse Shipping Clerk Shift

  • Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Warehouse Shipping Clerk Job Description

  • Provide efficient, courteous customer service through email and phone to address day to day customer needs and requests
  • Serve as liaison between customers, suppliers, and warehouse personnel
  • Maintain records, prepare required reports, and perform related typing/work processing and clerical duties
  • Direct contract with incoming drivers, spotters and forklift operators
  • Update and maintain warehouse management system and yard management software as needed
  • Participate in corrective and preventative actions and continuous improvement projects
  • Verify counts of incoming product, make necessary adjustments on paperwork and initial any changes
  • Sign and date the paperwork when load is finished
  • Ship accurate number of pieces per load worksheet.
  • Preparing shipping documents (i.e. – Labels/Compliance labels, BOL’s, etc.).
  • Cross training as required including operating forklifts
  • Perform any clerk/inventory activities as needed regarding receiving, shipping and scheduling loads in and out of the facility.

Warehouse Shipping Clerk Requirements

  • High school or GED equivalent required
  • Ability to foster a cooperative environment, as well as supervise and train assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices
  • Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment
  • Ability to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Must be willing to work overtime on weekends and holidays as requested by manager.
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement short- and long-term goals
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
