Job Type: Temp to Hire - Full Time
Work Location: San Diego, CA 92111 / Kearny Mesa
Shifts Available: Monday - Friday ( Must be able to work over time)
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am (Must train on 1st or 2nd shift)
Overview:
As a vital member of our team, you'll assume the role of Lamination Operator, responsible for executing various tasks related to Lay-up and Press operations. Your duties will encompass a wide range of activities, including set up, start-up, shut-down, operation, quality checks, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs. Prior to handling any chemical machines or hazardous waste, comprehensive hazardous waste and chemical handling training will be provided.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Performing Lay-up process steps
- Conducting press set-up, operation, shutdown, and emergency shutdown procedures
- Interpreting shop travelers to ensure count and quality standards are met
- Recording job and quality information accurately in the Manufacturing Control System
- Completing all internal departmental documentation meticulously, including travelers, daily preventative maintenance/Process Analysis Log (PAL), and heat rise press cycle charting
- Meeting physical demands, such as lifting up to 50 pounds, engaging in repetitive movements, and standing for the entire shift
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with travelers/blueprints
- Previous exposure to Lay-up and Press processes, particularly in lamination
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous machine operator experience
- Preferred experience in lamination / lay-up processes and PCB (Printed Circuit Boards)
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Work Environment:
You'll operate in a typical industrial manufacturing setting, involving regular interaction with manufacturing areas, production facilities, and warehouse/distribution zones. This environment may expose you to moving parts, chemicals, hazardous waste, and potentially dangerous machinery if not operated correctly.
