Department Name: 51 – Quality Assurance Date Reviewed:

Location: Wichita

POSITION SUMMARY

Plan, design and evaluate component level reliability and/or qualification projects in collaboration with internal and external customers to ensure reliability testing meets customer expectations and Integra requirements. Utilize JEDEC and MIL-STD reliability stress testing methods and statistics to interpret product test data to generate lifetime projections, extract acceleration factors for failure mechanisms of interest, and model parametric degradation. Apply semiconductor physics and reliability concepts to create reports and presentations to communicate reliability test results to customers and in technical symposiums. Represent and promote Integra as a technical subject matter expert at conferences and on industry standard committees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

  • Generate semiconductor component-level Reliability and Qualification plans to ensure the proper environmental stress for customer applications in military, aerospace, medical, and commercial systems.
  • Work with customers' product engineering and/or project management teams to create reliability test plans to enable qualification and production ramp-up of Integra assembly processes and packaging.
  • Plan, direct, and support reliability stress testing through completion in conjunction with Integra’s Environmental Engineering (Reliability Lab) team.
  • Responsible for developing and performing reliability testing methods on chip scale products and devices utilizing advanced packaging (2.5D/3D/others) for Integra’s Mil/Aero and Medical customer base.
  • Develop GaN and SiC technology platform reliability assessment methods for Mil/Aero applications, identify limiting failure mechanism(s), extract acceleration factors and analyze results to deliver recommended stress testing requirements.
  • Develop electrical bias techniques used with board designs to actively and dynamically operate devices in an oven environment in conjunction with Environmental Engineering.
  • Provide engineering support for Failure Verification and physical Failure Analysis of electrical rejects after reliability testing as needed, i.e. analysis of observed failure mode(s) and damage signature(s) vs. stress testing
  • Perform setup and buyoff on new Reliability Test Equipment (HTOL/THB/HAST/TC) to ensure that the equipment meets JEDEC and MIL-STD required stress conditions.
  • Establish and maintain an Integra reliability database.
  • Work closely with Environmental Engineering, Test Engineering, Sales and Customer Service Teams to coordinate operational success in delivering customized test and qualification solutions that comply with Integra customers’ unique requirements.
  • Work with the Operations Team to determine engineering feasibility and cost-effectiveness for the execution of reliability and/or qualification plans.
  • Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is required, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 4-7 years of the following experience is required:

  • Developing reliability and qualification plans per JEDEC and MIL-STD requirements.
  • Reliability data modeling for lifetime predictions, failure rates, and extracting acceleration factors.
  • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting semiconductor datasheets and specifications to define reliability stress test conditions for biased tests.
  • Correlating electrical failure modes to the failure mechanisms reliability testing are intended to accelerate.
  • Experience and solid working knowledge of JEDEC and MIL-STD reliability test specifications.
  • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting professional journals, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Utilizing effective communication skills with internal and external customers to achieve required results.
