Food Expeditor

Job Summary:
The Food Expeditor at Galaxy Restaurant is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery and accuracy of food orders to guests. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service and satisfaction that Galaxy Restaurant is known for. As a Full Time hourly employee, the Food Expeditor will be responsible for individual contribution to the overall success of the restaurant. The position is located in Wadsworth, Ohio with a compensation of $15/hr plus a great tip structure that is paid out daily, paycheck is paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of food orders
- Monitor incoming orders and prioritize based on dining room status and timing of food preparation
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure correct and timely delivery of food to guests
- Inspect food orders for accuracy, presentation and temperature before they are delivered to guests
- Check food quality and ensure that all plates are prepared according to Galaxy Restaurant's standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and expediting station
- Assist in expediting to-go food orders and ensuring they are packaged correctly
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
- Communicate any food delays or issues to management immediately
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests and handle any complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
