Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-Production Order Expeditor to work out of one of our offices Waggaman, LA. The Order Expeditor is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating the timely flow of customer orders through the manufacturing process. This role ensures that production schedules are met, materials are available, and any issues affecting order fulfillment are identified and resolved promptly. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Track and monitor the status of all open production and customer orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Shipping departments to resolve delays or constraints impacting order completion.
  • Review material availability and escalate shortages or discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Communicate order status updates, changes, and potential risks to internal teams and customer service representatives.
  • Investigate and resolve order-related issues, including missing components, documentation errors, or workflow bottlenecks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the excel database.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing order flow, reducing lead times, and improving delivery performance.
  • Vendor communication for shipping and tracking information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • AS 400 experience is preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements"
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment with regular exposure to production areas.
  • Requires walking, standing, and occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
  • May require occasional overtime based on business needs.

Days/Shift:
  • Monday thru Friday 8:00am-2:30pm
