Job description

Expeditor - Supply And Inventory

Hot opportunity! We are seeking expeditors for day shift and swing shift for one of our key client's in a fast-paced production environment. This position will be mainly supporting supply and inventory. This is a contract position eligible to convert to full time based on performance. Must have good Excel skills and MS Office experience.

Day Shift 6:45 - 3:15 Payrate: $22 per hour

Swing Shift 3:45 p.m. - 12:15 a.m. Payrate: $23.50

Job Summary

The expeditor is responsible for ensuring material flow and inventory accuracy across production areas. This role supports operational efficiency by monitoring rack availability, maintaining optimal utilization of key resources, and performing regular inventory counts throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rack inventory counts in each designated area at the start of shift, mid-shift, and end of shift (three counts per shift) to track availability by model.
  • Maintain accurate records of rack quantities and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure production lines are consistently and fully utilized to support production requirements.
  • Coordinate with production and planning teams to address shortages, imbalances, or flow issues.
  • Monitor rack movement and placement to ensure proper allocation across areas.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and rack utilization.
  • Communicate status updates and escalating issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or material coordination is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Basic data tracking and reporting skills (Must have MS Office and Excel.)

Work environment manufacturing/production floor setting. Requires standing, walking, and frequent movement between areas during shift.
