Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Location: EFE Laboratories, Perkasie, PA
Reports to: Operations Manager
Status: Non-Exempt Hourly Rate: $24.00-$28.00
The company's mission is to provide quality electronic contract manufacturing services to the industrial marketplace and has achieved AS9100D certification. The company services customers in a range of industries, aerospace, automotive, chemical, electrical, energy, industrial, pharmaceutical, and medical.
Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate tracking and management of inventory, expediting material movement, and coordinating shipments. This role involves managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, supplies, and equipment, while maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse to meet production needs. The individual will collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure a smooth supply chain process.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving:
  • Warehouse Coordination: Oversee all warehousing activities, including coordinating with production, purchasing, and other departments to ensure timely material supply and shipment.
  • Receipt and Distribution: Supervise the receipt, storage, and timely distribution of materials and equipment.
  • Order Management: Assign orders to kitting, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
  • Space Management: Develop and implement storage systems and procedures for optimal space utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Inventory and Quality Control: Perform regular inventory audits, ensure accurate material transactions, and coordinate physical inventories. Resolve issues related to outdated stock, damages, and returns.
  • Non-Conforming Material: Ensure prompt disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift as needed for material handling (Forklift experience is a plus).
  • Shipping Coordination: Plan and schedule shipments through reliable transportation services to ensure timely delivery.
Inventory Management & Expediting:
  • Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure stock availability to meet production needs. Use inventory management software to track stock and manage reordering processes.
  • Auditing and Reordering: Conduct regular inventory audits and reorder supplies as necessary to maintain stock levels.
  • Expediting Orders: Monitor and track order statuses to ensure timely delivery, collaborating with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues that may cause delays in the supply chain, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Supplier Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and timely supply of materials.
  • Data and Reporting: Use software to track and report on inventory levels, order statuses, and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
Management Responsibilities:
  • Supervise warehouse employees, 1-2 people, including temporary staff, providing guidance and education on processes and documentation to ensure adherence to warehouse procedures and safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma required; additional education in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse management, inventory management, or expediting, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience with electronics or contract manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and experience with MRP and Kanban processes is preferred.
  • Quality Training: Kaizen, ISO-9000, AS9100, Six Sigma, or similar quality program training is a plus.

EFE operates out of a newly renovated 35,000 square foot facility located in Perkasie, PA. This is a full-time position. Work hours are 7AM-3:30PM M-F. pot
