Overview

Electro-Methods Inc. (EMI), a Stronvar Aerospace company, specializes in the manufacture of precision aerospace components. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials, components, and services required to support production schedules. This role will serve as a critical link between suppliers, Purchasing, and production teams, ensuring that supply chain commitments are met and customer delivery schedules are supported.


Key Responsibilities

• Monitor purchase orders, supplier commitments, and material flow to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Communicate daily with suppliers to track order status, resolve delays, and escalate risks as needed.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Materials Management to align supplier performance with production requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of open orders, delivery commitments, and expediting actions in ERP/MRP systems.
• Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to verify delivery status and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks by providing proactive updates on shortages, late deliveries, or quality concerns.
• Support supplier performance improvement by providing timely feedback and documentation on delivery issues.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels aligned with production schedules while minimizing excess or obsolete stock.
• Prepare and distribute expediting reports and metrics for management review.


Required Qualifications & Skills

Required
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, production control, or expediting (preferably in aerospace or precision manufacturing).
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and drive accountability with suppliers.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Additional Information

Preferred
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with aerospace industry supply chains, AS9100 environments, or defense-related compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
