Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Reports to: Chief Fiduciary Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-time, in office
Overview:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, professional Operations Assistant to join our team! As an Operations Assistant you’ll play a crucial role supporting the Operations team with many different banking back-office tasks. The Operations Assistant will also routinely work in collaboration with Trust Assistants and others on the Trust Administration team during the course of a normal day. The perfect candidate will be extremely accurate and precise, detail-oriented, proactive, engaged, and highly professional with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and use sound judgement. Key Responsibilities:
  • Process trades, disbursements, and asset maintenance in client accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Record fees and other client transactions, making documentation accessible to the team promptly.
  • Generate and process client statements within the expected timeline.
  • Support the entire team with a comprehensive understanding of fiduciary accounting systems.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in daily processes to enhance productivity.
  • Communicate professionally and considerately with internal and external contacts.
  • Participate in projects and ongoing improvements for the Operations department.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of fiduciary accounting systems and principles such as income and principal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
