Position: Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

1st Shift - 2nd Shift - Hybrid Shift

Must be available to train on 1st Shift (7a-3:30p) for a minimum of 4 weeks

Compensation Negotiable - Dependent on Experience

 

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining production stamping presses, robotic weld machines, and other plant equipment and facilities. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties:

In keeping with the policies and procedures of the organization, along with all relevant legislative authority, the Maintenance Technician will:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production stamping presses, robotic weld machines, and other machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
  • Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment.
  • Collaborate with production operators and other team members to prioritize and address maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and maintenance techniques.

Education and/or Experience:

The Maintenance Technician will have at least 2 years of Manufacturing experience, combined with a High school diploma or equivalent qualification and technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with production stamping presses and robotic weld machines is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and good judgement / analytical skills, combined with strong leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
  • Able communicate professionally, verbally and in writing with all levels of team members and customers (if required).
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
