Systems Engineer, Senior

RESPONSIBLITIES:
Must be able to apply systems engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate multi-domain awareness systems in remote international locations, subjected to extreme environmental conditions, for continued improvement and maximum effectiveness in real world applications. Review and prepare system engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Apply system engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyze, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of multi-domain awareness systems, associated support systems, or information management systems. May act as team leader or supervisor developing engineering procedures and controls, managing project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution. Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and government representatives regarding the technical aspects of both the software and hardware components of the entire system. Because of extensive knowledge of the system may perform duties as a trainer.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 5 years of systems engineering experience performing the previously described systems engineering functions. These years can be concurrent with the 10 years of experience required. A background in computer programming is required. Must demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Office products, to include Project and Visio, to develop system architectures and to manage technical efforts in support of this program.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
MA/MS degree and applicable experience must be in engineering, computer science, math, physics or other technical degree
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as work requirements demand. This position may be eligible for a compressed work schedule.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required for this position.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
This position requires an active Top Secret clearance, at a minimum, or the ability to obtain one.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
