This system spans five key areas: Traffic Intersections, School Beacons, Preemption, Transit Signal Priority, and Connected Vehicle technology. Additionally, our Glance TravelSafelyTM smartphone app connects drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians to enhance commuting safety. Job Description: We are seeking a versatile and driven Technical Sales Support Engineer with a strong background preferably in network engineering, project management, and in the Traffic Industry. This unique role requires someone who can bridge the gap between technical expertise and client-facing responsibilities, ensuring our intelligent transportation solutions are successfully implemented and supported. Information such as Controller knowledge would really help a candidate as well as us.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Engineering:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in various environments.
  • Configure and manage network firewalls, VPNs, and proxies (experience with IPSec, Strongswan, and Cisco preferred).
  • Utilize programming skills (Python, C#) to automate network tasks and optimize performance.
  • Leverage cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred) to architect scalable network solutions.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, aligning network engineering efforts with broader company objectives.
  • Communicate project status and milestones to stakeholders, providing transparency and managing expectations.
  • Sales Engineering:
  • Assist Sales teams (both internal and external) with technical questions and support throughout the sales process.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers, clearly articulating how our technology will be deployed.
  • Work with Sales teams, distribution partners, and customers to resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Take ownership of projects, seeking help or advice when necessary to maintain efficiency.
  • Bring positive energy to the office, contributing to the excitement of new prospects and opportunities.
  • Traffic Industry Expertise:
  • Preferred experience with traffic controllers and other traffic management systems.
  • Information such as Traffic Controller knowledge would really help a candidate as well as us.
  • Collaboration & Product Integration (Alpharetta Office):
  • Work onsite in the Alpharetta office to collaborate directly with QA, Production, and Application Engineering teams.
  • Participate in hands-on testing and validation of new features, firmware, and system configurations.
  • Utilize access to lab environments and field equipment to test interoperability and integration across a wide range of industry products.
  • Provide real-time feedback to engineering and product teams to improve performance, reliability, and deployment readiness.
  • Training & Product Enablement:
  • Deliver training courses covering the full product line to internal teams, partners, and customers.
  • Clearly explain technical concepts, system architecture, and deployment best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, hands-on labs, and documentation.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing education to ensure successful adoption and use of products in the field.
  • Travel:
  • Position requires up to 30% travel.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of electrical theory.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with a focus on technical deliverables.
  • Hands-on experience with network configuration and troubleshooting in Linux environments.
  • Experience with NGINX, network firewalls, and cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and initiative, with a desire for career growth.
  • Nice to have: Experience with traffic controllers and related traffic industry systems.
