Age Group Swim Head Coach

Organization: Patriot Swim Club

Location: Beckman HS

Hours: 3:30-8:00 pm, Monday to Friday and Weekends.

Position Overview:

The Swim Age Head Group Coach at Patriot Swim Club plays a crucial role in the development and success of our swimmers. Reporting directly to the Club Director, this position involves collaborating and creating practices and schedules, competition strategies, and overall team functions. The Age Group Coach is responsible for fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment for our swimmers while adhering to club policies and USA Swimming regulations.

Responsibilities:

Develop practice schedules, competition strategies, and team functions aligned with the club's seasonal calendar.

Effectively communicate the needs and progress of swimmers within the Club Director.

Attend all practices, meets, team functions, and club-related activities.

Take daily attendance for designated Age Group practices.

Participate in weekly coaching staff meetings to discuss the seasonal calendar, training philosophy, and performance evaluations.

Utilize designated communication platforms for club-wide messaging and updates.

Foster the holistic development of swimmers, including physical, mental, and emotional growth.

Uphold professionalism in all interactions with athletes, parents, and staff.

Assist in organizing and distributing team apparel and equipment.

Stay informed about USA Swimming and local swimming association policies, rules, and regulations.

Assist in recruiting new members to the club and coordinating tryout sessions.

Support team incentives and events to promote team spirit and cohesion.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of swimming fundamentals, practice structures, stroke mechanics, and competition strategies.

Previous coaching or competitive swimming experience preferred.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with coaching staff, club members, and administrative personnel.

Maintain current certifications required by USA Swimming.
