Position Summary:
As a Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in promoting and restoring patients’ health by providing comprehensive nursing care throughout invasive procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing patient care plans, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
- Documenting patient care accurately
- Monitoring patient vital signs and condition during procedures, communicating effectively with the care team, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and families
- Collaborating across disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care, including transfer, discharge, and referral
- Educating patients and families on relevant topics based on age, culture, and condition
- Advocating for the physical and emotional well-being of patients
- Initiating emergency resuscitative measures when necessary and ensuring infection prevention protocols are followed
- Participating in patient safety initiatives such as Universal Protocol and time-outs
- Collecting and entering data for relevant registries
Requirements:
- Associate degree from an accredited professional nursing school Required.
- Certifications: ACLS required upon hire.
- At least 1 year experience as RN Cath Lab
- Arizona Registered Nurse and/or Compact State Registered Nurse Required.
