Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 3 years of cardiac cath lab scrub tech experience for an acute care hospital setting.

Details
  • Acute care hospital with 233 staffed beds
  • Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic cardiac procedures, coronary stents, STEMIs, vascular procedures, ICDs, pacemakers, loop recorders, and carotid stenting
  • Pre- and post-procedure patient recovery responsibilities
  • Daily caseload of 12 cases per technologist
  • 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Rotational on-call required, approximately every 4th weekend and one day per week
  • Charting in Epic (experience required)
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience as a scrub technologist
  • Valid MO state license required; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license
  • License required if applicable
  • BLS required
  • Proficiency with diagnostic cardiac procedures, coronary stents, STEMIs, vascular procedures, ICD and pacemaker implants, loop recorders, and carotid stenting
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Free parking on site
  • No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
  • Block scheduling is not available for this position
  • Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to this facility system as a traveler
  • Travelers may work up to 18 months consecutively, after which a 3-month break in service is required
