Senior Property Accountant - Immediate Role in Austin!!!

The Hire Solution has partnered with a reputable and growing construction company located in north Austin for the position of Property Accountant or Senior Property Accountant. This is a highly visible role working for the CFO, where the accountant will perform all facets of daily / monthly accounting for about 15 properties nationwide using Yardi ERP. Primary duties will include:

Financial statement analysis, balance sheet, income statement, general ledger

Provide timely and accurate reporting of the financial operations of assigned properties. This includes

financial reporting, escrow analysis, and supervision of various external accounting teams.

Monthly analysis of various financial statements in multiple forms reviewing all balance sheet accounts

and explanations of significant variances in income statement accounts

Review and approve monthly cash distributions from the properties

Develop and monitor templates specific to each propertys specifications

Quarterly reporting packages on the assigned properties

Assist Director of Property Accounting with monthly reporting and various projects

Work with Asset Management team to forecast and budget property performance

Work with Asset Management team to produce necessary reports and answer questions about property accounts

Fund accounts receivable and payable at property level in internal accounting system

Review tax returns for accuracy relating to information from property financial statements

Assist with fund level accounting responsibilities through means of monthly duties and on an ad hoc

basis. This includes, cash flows, departmental reporting, debt compliance, and year-end tax/audit duties.

Administrative tasks such as saving all files in Virtus format in respective folders and confirming monthly deliverables

Requirements

Ability to work the U.S. without sponsorship

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject

5+ years of experience with commercial real estate accounting

Experience using Yardi Enterprise or Voyager highly desired

Must be able to work on site at HQ office in north Austin

Professional communication and ability to work with all operating partner

Assertive and collaborative mind set

Ability to work overtime, when required
