Optometrist Assistant/Receptionist (Pearle Vision Maplewood Mall)

 We are a growing, locally owned, optical office and retail facility looking for an Optometrist Assistant/Receptionist. Our energetic team works hard and enjoys making our patients feel special. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communications skills, basic computer skills, the ability to multi-task, and be comfortable interacting closely with patients of all ages. A strong attention to detail is also important as the job requires a good amount of precision. Responsibilities include pre-testing patients, welcoming patients, managing appointment schedules, verifying insurance, preparing paperwork, answering phones and team support.
