Optical Team Lead - West Lynn Vision Center
General Job Description & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all patients are receiving the best quality of care at all times. This position also assumes all of the responsibilities required of an Optician. It is the Optical Team Lead who is the primary for resolving all optical related patient issues and provides immediate guidance to the optical department. Primary responsibilities include:
  • Resolving optical related concerns and/or questions from patients and optical team
  • Monthly inventory
  • Frame returns and credit follow-up
  • Educate the team on any new technology and/or products as they become available
  • Run reports
  • Mentors and guides team to ensure excellent customer service and employee performance
  • Serving as a role model

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • All responsibilities of the Optician position
  • Entering new information, as needed, for new products, packages or pricing.
  • Scheduling and communicating with vendor representatives.
  • Coaching and counseling all optical team as necessary.

Experience & Skills
Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience and:
  • Minimum of 2 years prior Optician experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to enter data efficiently and effectively during busy times.
  • Requires little supervision
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and make quick decisions.
  • Comfortable identifying errors or co-workers
  • Attention to detail and highly-organized
