Immediate Opening | The Eye Care Group


The Eye Care Group is seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team and take a lead role in our Contact Lens Department. As a Contact Lens Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the best possible contact lens solutions tailored to their individual needs. You will work closely with ophthalmologists and patients to provide fitting, education, and follow-up care for contact lenses.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive contact lens fittings, including assessments of patient needs and lifestyle considerations.
  • Provide education to patients on proper contact lens care, insertion, removal, and hygiene practices.
  • Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor fit and comfort, addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with Ophthalmologists to interpret prescriptions and recommend appropriate contact lens options.
  • Maintain accurate records of fittings, prescriptions, and patient interactions in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest contact lens products and technologies to provide informed recommendations.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of contact lens supplies.
  • Support a positive patient experience through excellent customer service and communication.
  • Provide Optician coverage in Optical shops as needed
  • Manage daily operations of the Contact Lens Department
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on contact lens products and services
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • CT Opticians License
  • Previous experience in an optical setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contact lens types, materials, and fitting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
