Commercial Project Manager

Our client is seeking a driven and professional Project Manager to assist the Senior Project Manager for the estimation, bidding, and oversite of select scope areas for large mixed-use projects in the Philadelphia area. We expect this role to gain understanding of subcontractor’s scope, the contract plans, and the onsite / office teams performing the work while managing the assigned subcontractors to successful project completion by our promised deadline. This role is suited for someone who is both confident and humble and welcomes challenge and emerging responsibilities as the project progresses.

Job Responsibilities

• Gain complete project understanding through thorough examination of the architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans
• Propose value engineering solutions
• Creates subcontractor bidding lists and maintain regular communication between project members and subs,
• Material procurement
• Presentation of project budgets to senior members and update regularly as buyout approaches
• Manage job logistics and scheduling
• Creates a schedule of values and maintains cost schedules updating as work is being awarded
• Schedule and perform required site meetings and carry out the logistics mobilization plans
• Maintain and enforce OSHA standards
• Maintain shop drawing log and enforce shop drawing schedule
• Ensure all subcontractors invoices are received, reviewed, and submitted to the Senior PM by the 25th of each month
• Review budget and proposed change orders monthly with the Senior PM
• Actively communicate with leadership the project risks, opportunities, cost events, and schedule events

Preferred Qualifications

• Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering Degree with a Construction Management concentration.
• 4-5 years PM experience, preferably with a General Contractor or Construction Management Company
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Stable work history
• Can read plans and do basic takeoffs
• Open to taking on additional responsibilities, looking to grow further in their career
