Qualifications
Candidate will have A.S. in surveying or civil engineering plus 4 years combined land development and field experience or equivalent work experience of 6 years. That experience must include reduction of field survey notes, reading, analyzing, and preparing office calculations related to construction staking and subdivision calculations using computer software.
Candidate must have thorough knowledge of coordinate Geometry and computer systems.
Candidate should have experience preparing CAD drawings of boundary surveys, Topographic Maps, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, As-built surveys, subdivision maps and other survey drawings as well as experience processing with City and County agencies.
Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel and surveying computer applications such as Autodesk’s Civil 3D, MicroStation’s Inroads and/or Open Roads, Carlson Survey and Trimble Business Center.
The following items are a plus:
PLS or ability to obtain within six to 12 months a plus
Responsibilities:
Tasks required for this position include:
- Review survey instructions for field surveys prepared by junior staff
- Perform QA-QC procedures on office calculations for future field staking.
- Analyze field “as-stake” data and review for possible issues.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Coordinate with field crews to review staking procedures/methods.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites
- Review engineering and/or construction plans and drawings and coordinate with engineering groups.
