What You'll Do
As a Survey Crew Chief, you'll lead field crews whileensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and accurately. You'llwork closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliverhigh-quality survey data that supports a wide variety of land development andinfrastructure projects.
Responsibilities include:
  • Lead and supervise survey crews on a variety of field projects
  • Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, and easement surveys
  • Operate GPS equipment, robotic total stations, and data collectors
  • Utilize drone technology to perform aerial mapping and data collection
  • Conduct 3D laser scanning and process data for project deliverables
  • Ensure accuracy of field data and maintain detailed field notes
  • Coordinate with project managers to meet project schedules and client expectations
  • Maintain survey equipment and promote a strong culture of safety
  • Mentor and develop junior field staff

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a motivated professional who enjoys solvingproblems, leading teams, and producing quality work.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of land surveying experience
  • Experience leading or supervising survey field crews
  • Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, and easement surveys
  • Proficiency with GPS, total stations, data collectors, and CAD/survey software
  • Experience using 3D scanning technology is highly preferred
  • FAA Part 107 Drone License preferred (or willingness to obtain with company support)
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain
