What we're looking for:
If you are a growth-oriented and entrepreneurial Land Surveyor looking to help expand surveying capabilities, then let's talk. We are seeking a Survey Project Manager to manage survey projects for public sector and private development clients in southeast Georgia. Successful candidates will have 5+ years of experience with boundary surveys, topographic mapping, subdivision plats, construction staking, and ALTA surveys.

Our team specializes in professional consulting services for municipal and land development clients. Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage survey projects, including developing scopes of work, schedules, and budgets. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
  • Field and Office Oversight: Lead and supervise survey crews and office staff in performing field surveys, data collection, and office-based tasks like data processing, boundary analysis, and drafting survey plats.
  • Technical Expertise: Conduct and review boundary, topographic, and construction surveys using GPS, robotic total stations and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ensure surveys comply with Georgia and South Carolina minimum technical standards.
  • Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Represent the company in meetings with clients, contractors, engineers, and government agencies. Communicate project progress, resolve issues, and negotiate contracts or subcontracts as needed.
  • Quality Control: Verify the accuracy of field data, survey calculations, and final deliverables.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and evaluate survey technicians and field staff to promote safe work practices and professional development.
  • Research and Compliance: Research land records, deeds, and prior surveys to support project accuracy. Ensure adherence to state-specific surveying laws and standards, including those set by the Georgia Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Board and the South Carolina LLR.
  • Business Development: Assist in marketing efforts, preparing proposals, and building client relationships to secure new projects.

Minimum Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or equivalent preferred
  • Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Georgia, South Carolina or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Desire to be a leader in a consulting firm and take ownership of their work products
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
    Ability to work accurately and efficiently
    High moral and ethical character
  • Desire to develop, train, and mentor survey technicians and field staff to ensure successful project outcomes
