Summary

The Ultrasound Field Service Engineer is responsible for managing customer satisfaction, ensuring installations, product maintenance, repairs are performed to company procedures and with the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This position works with sales to promote our products and to develop leads.


Essential Functions:

  • Maintain customer satisfaction for all customers.
  • Responsible for equipment service within assigned territory.
  • Responsible for responding to dispatches within 15 minutes and scheduling service repairs within 24 hours of assignment.
  • Manages material and ensures defective parts are returned within 3-5 days with appropriate RMA paperwork.
  • Performs equipment PMs within 45 days of target date.
  • Work with various test equipment including, multi-meters, various hand tools and soldering iron.
  • Ensures test equipment is returned for calibration as required.
  • Able to work independently to complete routine service calls and troubleshooting without outside assistance.
  • Provide backup support in depot repair, when required.
  • Responsible for managing expenses and identifying ways to streamline or improve productivity.
  • Assists Technical Support by providing information regarding field failures or Hotsite accounts.
  • Complete and update assigned service calls daily and complete reports on a weekly basis.
  • Works with field and inside sales representatives to promote installed base programs.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with field sales and applications.
  • Support key demos, shows and provide feedback on customer impressions during routine service activity.

Requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Associate degree or equivalent military experience in Electronic Technology
  • Must demonstrate fundamental understanding of Electronic Technology and theory.
  • Willing to travel extensively.
  • Must promote a professional image and manner.
  • Must be proficient in the use of electrical test equipment such as oscilloscope, DVM and soldering iron.
