Job Description

Flying S Title & Escrow is a Title Financial Corporation (TFC) subsidiary. We are looking for an Escrow Assistant to join our team in Idaho Falls, ID. TFC is a family-owned company providing Title and Escrow Services Since 1905. Position Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and have the ability to pass an MVR and background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience using a personal computer, including data entry, accessing data, or other relevant experience.

About the position

This position reports to the Vice President / County Manager.

Job Duties Include:

  • Answers telephone calls and routes to appropriate individuals or departments. Takes accurate messages.
  • Assist escrow staff in preparing for closing by requesting pay-off statements and figuring out loans, lien releases, insurance, commissions, and legal records and/or necessary documents to ensure that lender instructions coincide with the purchase agreement.
  • Communicate and send lender packages according to closing instructions. Disburses funds in accordance with standard accounting procedures and customer requirements.
  • Input, access, and retrieve data relevant to closings timely and accurately.
  • Professionally and courteously greet clients and address their questions and concerns. Direct clients to appropriate individuals or departments as needed.
  • Upload all necessary documents into document retention software and complete all required information.
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, which may include mail duties, filing, ordering supplies, typing documents, making copies, scanning of documents, recordings, obtaining assessments, and light bookkeeping.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with company employees and customers by phone, in person, or through correspondence.
  • Supports corporate core values, purpose, goals, and culture.
  • React to change positively and productively, including as a result of expanding job responsibilities and expectations.
  • Adheres to all company policies and standards, including the expectation of prompt, predictable, and regular attendance.
  • Develop and maintain a client base by attending local events and creating marketing opportunities.
  • May use a company car or personal car to deliver information to clients, customers, banks, courthouse, etc.
  • Other job duties as required.
