Job Description
Title: Associate Electrical Engineer
Location: New Orleans, LA
Type: Perm
Must have 2 years experience as an Electric Engineer in a Refinery/Power Plant or some kind of Energy Plant. (for instance, Electrician in a Plastic company won't be considered)
Responsibilities:
Candidate will develop knowledge and understanding of the complete Plant Electrical System, and equipment and will be assigned tasks including but not limited to:
- Switchgears (138kV, 4.16kV, 480V)
- Motor Control Centers (MCC)
- Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS)
- Transformers
- Energy Management Systems (EMS/SCADA)
- Electrical System Studies
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Power Systems
- 2 years experience as an Electric Engineer in a Refinery/Power Plant of some kind of Energy Plant.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Application Suite
- Familiarity with Power Systems Modelling Tools such as ETAP/SKM is preferable
