Location: NYC (JF Kennedy Airport)

Position Purpose:
The Security Manager oversight to the security operations. Manages plans, organizes, and directs the security activities of teams to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Job Summary

• Develops and maintains strong relationships with the customer and airport staff.
• Defines staffing schedule, manages labor hours to that schedule, works with the scheduler to ensure that the schedule is fully staffed and manages to overtime targets.
• Implements the MGS safety program.
• Oversees and continually develops security staff to include supervisors and agents.
• Enforces disciplinary actions.
• Ensures and maintains all security related records as indicated by the Customer, TSA, and other Governmental entities.

• Ensures safety and quality audits are conducted, reviewed and closed.
• Assists in the development of audit plans for the station.
• Conducts safety and quality audits within the station, as directed.
• Conducts safety and quality training within the station, as directed.
• Reviews any equipment damage and directs corrective action.
• Conducts Risk Assessments as directed.
• Coordinates quality initiatives
• Provides station GM with periodic progress reports, audit schedules and assessments of safety and quality programs.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ of full-time security experience as a sheriff, police officer, security guard in a government agency or with a licensed PI or WGP; OR 2 years of full-time equivalent position and experience acquired in a position where the primary duties were the performance of security guard duties or supervising and reviewing the work of at least three people performing security services.
• Aviation Security experience Is preferred.
