Head Mechanic

Job Title: Temporary Head Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced head mechanic to oversee the maintenance and repair of our golf course equipment and mowers on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of golf course equipment and mower sharpening techniques, as well as experience managing a large active fleet of daily use equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment and mowers

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and mowers

- Sharpen mower blades and ensure proper cutting height

- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs

- Order parts and supplies as needed

- Ensure all equipment is in compliance with safety regulations

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf course equipment maintenance and repair

- Knowledge of mower sharpening techniques

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid driver's license

Schedule:

-We anticipate the need for a minimum of 15 hours per week under a flexible schedule for the remainder of the off-season (February and March)

- A set schedule in April (at least 4 days per week, 25-40 hours per week)

-Extending employment beyond April would be at the companies discretion

Compensation:

- $40-50.00/hour, commensurate with experience.
