Fluoropolymer Resources LLC (FRL) is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Process Engineer. FRL is the global leader in reprocessing of melt processable fluoropolymers, as well as the distribution of virgin fluoropolymer resin. Position Summary:

The Process Engineer will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in defining, developing, and improving the processes and equipment used to recycle various plastics and manufacture our fabricated products. In addition will be responsible for the development of manufacturing capabilities for new fabricated and recycled products as they are introduced in the business.

The successful candidate is a curious and methodical leader that displays ingenuity and resourcefulness while working with their peer group, internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to create a stable and predictable manufacturing platform capable of meeting FRL growth and profit objectives.

This position reports directly to the General Manager, FP/NFR and collaborates with the management team including the Vice President of Operations, the Director of Sales and Market Development, the Vice President of Engineering, and the Director of MIS-Administration to develop, promote, and achieve the ambitions and goals set by the General Manager and the senior management team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Designs, maintains, and improves manufacturing processes for the recycling of various plastics and the manufacturing of existing fabricated products to improve safety, quality, scrap, and efficiency.

· Develops and manufactures additional fabricated products using a new product introduction methodology that balances quality, speed, and cost.

· Develops and improves the handling and conveying of material in various forms.

· Use analytical tools to assist with the establishment of material attributes by supplier to develop recycling process and equipment profiles to optimize quality and efficiency.

· Problem solves product non-conformance including quick fix, investigation, eliminating root cause and effective, timely communications with Sales and customers as required.

· Continuously develops and improves technical operating instructions.

· Research, specify, and assist in the negotiation for the purchase of equipment and services.

· Demonstrates ownership of and adherence to facility and equipment standards.

· Develops knowledge of all machinery and their respective processes of each operation.

· Participates in defining requirements for preventive maintenance program.

· Provides methods for data collection on all of the above as required.

· Defines methods to maintain and improve the cleanliness of process water through filtration, collection, and disposal, to protect equipment and facilities and to meet regulated water standards.

· Uses data and metrics to communicate, both in written and verbal forms, and justify required resources for improvement.

· Participates in the facility Safety Team.

· Other duties may be assigned as well.

Requirements:

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

· Associates Degree or higher in Engineering plus 5+ years of manufacturing/process engineering experience in a manufacturing facility OR 10+ years of practical experience as a manufacturing/process engineer, is required.

· Experience working with and operational knowledge of plastic extrusion is required.

· Experience with two stage vented screw extrusion is highly valued.

· Experience working with and operational knowledge of granulators, shredders, and sorting is highly valued.

· The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization is essential.

· The ability to develop and manage project timelines and cost budgets is essential.

· Have an Entrepreneurial approach to improvement is highly valued.

· Strength and/or proven aptitude in the use of software such as Excel and Word software is required.

· Experience implementing automated data collection, strong analytical skills and data driven decision making is valued.
