Purpose of Internship

To expose, provide access and opportunities for college students and recent graduates to the work we do at Panagora in the hope of kickstarting their journey into International Development and become the next batch of employee owners.

Internship Description

Panagora Group is a small business providing novel and integrated solutions in global health and international development. Our goal is to provide innovative solutions that build national capacity and promote sustainability through robust local participation and capacity building, utilizing highly integrated and private sector solutions. Throughout our work, we embrace a virtuous circle of knowledge stewardship, collaborative learning, and application of evidence to heighten and accelerate positive health and development outcomes.

Panagora seeks outstanding graduate and undergraduate students, as well as recent graduates, with an interest in global health and international development for internships and the opportunity to lean from experts in the field. The areas of focus and placement for the intern will include, but will not be limited to assisting with:

  • Program Operations and Quality Assurance (program support, recruitment, report writing, programmatic research, etc.)

Interns will be working twenty hours a week in a hybrid setting with the expectation to work from Panagora’s office in Silver Spring at least once a week per the decision of their supervisor.


Responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:
  • BA/BS or MA/MS candidate (or recent graduate) pursuing a degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Health, International Development, or related field
  • Strong academic background with a demonstrated interest in international development
  • Experience with data collection and visualization preferred
  • Strong and proven written & communication skills, including proficient presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience and comfortability working in a hybrid and/or fully remote environment
  • Ability to solve problems creatively with excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA without need for sponsorship
  • Must be able to commit to at least a 3-month internship

The internship is unpaid. Panagora Group provides a stipend to defray the cost of travel.

Reports to: Intern area placement supervisor supported by Global Human Resources
