What We Need:
Our WWE 2K is team looking for a talented Game Designer who is excited to work on the WWE franchise. WWE 2K is an exciting and challenging game with a diverse set of features and requirements. You will grow and develop in many different areas, learning from a highly skilled team while working on cutting-edge technology. This position reports into the Design Director.
What You Will Do:
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Designer to deliver engaging, interactive stories
  • Implement and own cinematic sequences to help shape the narrative vision of the game using a proprietary scripting system
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers and artists to identify key issues and generate high-quality solutions

Who Will Be A Great Fit:
  • Minimum of two years working as a professional game designer on a shipped AAA title
  • A keen eye for cinematic framing, timing, and how scenes are presented to the player
  • Strong grasp of narrative craft and how storytelling deepens player engagement
  • Clear, confident communicator - both written and verbal - who works well across disciplines and teams
  • A technically-minded problem solver who can quickly pick up and get the most out of proprietary tools and pipelines

Preferred qualifications
  • Working knowledge of animation timelines, plus an intuitive grasp of human behavior - especially how it shapes character interactions and conversational flow.
  • A genuine passion for RPGs across a wide range of styles, with a strong handle on genre conventions, storytelling craft, and what makes the player experience land.
  • Scripting experience, especially with visual or node-based tools, is a plus

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $38 and $53 per hour. The pay range for this position in New York at the start of employment is expected to be between $33 and $46 per hour. The pay range for this position in New Jersey at the start of employment is expected to be between $33 and $46 per hour. The pay range for this position in Maryland at the start of employment is expected to be between $33 and $46 per hour. The pay range for this position in Colorado at the start of employment is expected to be between $33 and $46 per hour. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for employees in regular roles may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, provided that temporary or intern roles will not be eligible for many of these payments or benefits. Details of participation in compensation and benefit plans (if applicable) will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
For WASHINGTON
The pay range for this position in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $38 and $53 per hour. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Regular, full-time employees are also eligible for a range of benefits at the Company, including: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage; 14 paid holidays per calendar year; paid vacation time per calendar year (ranging from 15 to 25 days) or eligibility to participate in the Company's discretionary time off program; up to 10 paid sick days per calendar year; paid parental and compassionate leave; wellbeing programs for mental health and other wellness support; family planning support through Maven; commuter benefits; and reimbursements for fitness-related expenses.
