Job description

POSITION: Activation Support Intern
DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Communications
REPORTS TO: Marketing Activation Coordinator
STATUS: Internship - Unpaid, Onsite
SUMMARY: The Orange Bowl Committee is looking for local college students interested in gaining real-world experience in sports, events, marketing and fan engagement during the Fall 2026 season.
Selected students will assist the Orange Bowl Committee at select home Miami Hurricanes, Miami Dolphins games and other activations throughout the fall. This opportunity is designed for students who are passionate about sports and interested in learning more about the behind-the-scenes work that goes into major sporting events and community activations.
Duration: September 2026 thru January 2027
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Intern will learn and be exposed to:
  • Assisting with Orange Bowl activations on game day at Miami Hurricanes and Miami Dolphins home games as well as other community activation opportunities
  • Helping set up, operate and break down promotional areas and fan engagement spaces
  • Interacting with fans, students, alumni and members of the South Florida community
  • Supporting Orange Bowl staff with event operations, marketing efforts and on-site logistics
  • Representing the Orange Bowl in a professional and positive manner
  • Gaining hands-on experience in the sports business and event management industry

PREREQUISITES
  • Current college students interested in sports business, sport management, marketing, communications, event operations or a related field
  • Reliable, professional and comfortable working in a fast-paced game day environment
  • Strong communicators who enjoy interacting with people
  • Available to work select weekdays/weekends during the Fall 2026 season
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds

Note:Preferred commitment of working at least one event a week.
