Personal Injury Case Manager (Underwriter)

ProCare Funding is an up and coming medical lien funding company that is seeking a Personal Injury Case Manager (Underwriter) to join our rapidly expanding team. This candidate has some experience in underwriting high dollar treatment such as surgery cases in either the legal sector or has performed underwriting in a medical setting to ensure that all relevant case details were gathered in order to make the proper decision. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service experience as well as the desire to build and maintain strong relationships with our attorney and provider clients. We are seeking applicants who are highly motivated with a desire to grow within the field.

REMOTE POSITION EXCEPTATIONS: The company will consider a candidate for the remote option, only if they live greater then 40 miles from the La Mirada, Ca. CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE IN CALIFORNIA

Responsibilities: The essential tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct research with the representing law firm that supports the need for funding
• Communicate with law firms to obtain information and relay information on their clients' personal injury cases
• Communicate with medical providers and surgical centers to obtain required information.
• Evaluate funding requests by assessing risk across multiple attributes of data and determining appropriate funding limits.
• Relationship building with clients (law firms and medical providers)
• Team player! Always willing to jump in and help your team.
• Maintaining confidential and adhering to HIPAA regulations

​Qualifications: To stand out amongst other applicants, our ideal candidate will embody most of the below qualities

• Previous experience as a paralegal, case manager, or at a law firm. At times, this position is also found in a medical office.
• Personal Injury law firm experience is a HUGE PLUS
• Familiarity with legal research/underwriting/case management
• Sensible judgment
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and strong sense of being a team player
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Great people skills - this position requires a great deal of client communication
• Able to roll with the "punches." Our team is rapidly changing, so at times you may have to wear other "hats."
• Customer Service: at minimum 1 year at the same position (required)

• Office 365 and/or CRM
• Previous paralegal, case manager, law firm exp, personal injury law firm exp.
• Previous experience as an underwriter in a medical office
• Previous personal injury case manager, underwriter for an insurance company, or collections.

Salary: This range is based on experience - $21 - $25
