Job Summary
The Project Innovation Manager is responsible for driving the development and successful execution of innovative products. This role is responsible for identification of market opportunities, conducting market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing the product development lifecycle. You will be a key driver in shaping the company’s product strategy and ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge solutions to meet customer needs. Additional duties include price and margin analysis and maintenance, cradle to grave product lifecycle management and collaborating in effective marketing translations and advertisement campaigns.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in a product / marketing management
- Experience in the automotive tool and test equipment market.
- Strong understanding of product development methodologies
- Demonstrated track record of success across a wide spectrum of marketing activities.
- Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience in strategic planning and collaboration with executive team, sales, marketing, product development and key operational groups.
- Strong strategic thinking, financial modeling, communication, relationship-building, analytical and project management skills
- Proven ability to deliver results through others, both direct and cross functional
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Market Research and Opportunity Identification
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs and competitive landscape.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and technologies that could be applied to enhance product offerings.
- Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Develop a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with market demands and business objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features, enhancements and new product initiatives.
- Product Development and Launch
- Drive the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Define product specifications, user stories, and feature requirements in collaboration with the development team.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications team on feature & benefit, value proposition and product marketing messaging.
- Performance Tracking and Optimization
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure success of new product releases, utilization of a New Product Vitality Index metric.
- Identify areas for product optimization and enhancements based on market and user feedback.
- Follows all policies and procedures of Occupational Safety and Health, Human Resources and Quality Department. Reports any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor.
- Collaborates in process improvement projects & activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
