Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

KADCON is seeking to fill a Project Manager position with diverse project backgrounds that include commercial, multi-family and government. Project Managers will work the entire project life cycle from pre-construction to close-out providing experience in pre-construction, estimating, and project management. As the face of the company and working with all project stakeholders, the candidate must have strong client relationship skills and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Attends pre-bid meetings, conducts site inspections, evaluates specifications and prepares project estimates.
  • Teams with pre-construction team working with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to write scopes of work, obtain complete and accurate construction documents, specifications and understand applicable code compliance requirements
  • Communicate clearly and affectively to clients and subcontractors on the status of the project
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Perform constructability and coordination reviews
  • Communicate with owners, architects, and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management
  • Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, and cost-control
  • Prepare monthly status reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow for internal and/or external use
  • Manage close-out process

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years employment experience performing duties and responsibilities described above with direct management, budget and schedule responsibility for general contracting multi-family, education, and commercial construction projects 
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or architecture from an accredited institution preferred
  • Competent employee development, coaching and people management skills
  • Solutions oriented with excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
