Apply modern systems engineering practices to develop and evolve our energy management platforms. We’re looking for someone who is curious, good at asking questions, and skilled in applying engineering concepts!

As MISO’s Systems Engineer Advisor, you will:

  • Tailor the application of Systems Engineering methods to MISO systems and projects
  • Guide and advise Systems Engineers and Business Analysts through framing, requirements and design, and solution recommendation activities

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for the following:

  • Extensive experience applying systems engineering practices and knowledge in modeling system requirements and designs using a variety of techniques (e.g. SysML) and associated tools (IBM Rational ReqPro/DOORs, Cameo, SparxEA, etc.)
  • Systems “thinker” and can approach problems logically, iteratively, incrementally at multiple layers of abstraction
  • An individual who is strong at documenting and maintaining functional specifications, concepts of operations, and operational definitions in support of engineering practices
  • Certified as a Systems Engineer by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) preferred

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge
