Accounting Associate

As an Accounting Associate at Marrano Homes, you will provide direct support to the Finance Department by maintaining financial records and executing various accounting tasks including creating job cost budgets, running reports, and tracking commissions. The Accounting Associate will also be responsible for overseeing administrative duties such as answering phone calls, greeting guests, and distributing mail.  

Reporting to our Controller, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Creating and entering job cost budgets.
• Running monthly cost reports and recording journal entries.
• Creating monthly interest calculations for model & spec homes.
• Preparing monthly loan statements.
• Completing monthly bank reconciliations.
• Creating monthly sales & closing reports.
• Tracking commissions for sales representatives and issuing reports.
• Answering calls and greeting visitors.
• Opening, sorting, and distributing mail.
• Printing, sorting, and preparing invoices from vendors.

You are someone who has:

• Minimum 1-year experience in accounting and administrative duties.
• Associate degree preferred, equivalent level of education/experience considered
• Ability to provide exceptional service to external and internal customers.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
• Exceptional understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; and Internet applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

The compensation range for this position is $45,000-$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
