Look no further - As Pharmaron continue to grow, we are seeking to add a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Associate Director to join our team to play a key role in developing and executing IT infrastructure strategy including defining blueprint/objectives, building/consolidating IT infrastructure, leading the operational activities (security, governance, policies, and risk assessment), and ensuring that performed tasks comply with company policies, best industry standards, applicable regulations and support organizational priorities.

This role is an onsite position based in Woburn, MA with regular travel to US sites as required.


What you will do:

You will oversee functions related to support, configure, maintain, and upgrade networks and in house servers along with monitoring of network/server performance, troubleshooting more complex issues and deploying solutions. Additionally, this role will work closely with the Quality department to ensure compliance standards.


In addition:

  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap, including network infrastructure, computing hardware, cyber and data security, etc.
  • Develop and implement policies, controls, and processes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Responsible for the data center performance and provides advice and recommendations by being the Global Shared Service teams single point of contact; Supporting process alignment and shared services activities, such as network migrations, infrastructure refreshes, application monitoring, and release management
  • Ensure the stability of Infrastructure to be available to the business to enable seamless operation by ensuring backups and recovery, business continuity plans, disaster recovery (ensuring RPO and RTO is defined and attained), ensuring high availability design is maintained for critical systems, Developing, upgrading, deploying, monitoring, maintaining, and supporting all IT infrastructure and networks
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Support the organizations IT systems implementation/operation,
  • May lead the evaluation of new technologies and perform analysis/feasibility studies to guide decisions on the best way to optimize IT infrastructure efficiency and performance.

What We are Looking for:

As an Associate Director - IT Infrastructure you will use your innovative and customer-centric attitude to unite people together in all IT-related matters and IT projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field from an accredited college
  • 10+ years' experience in a similar role with systems administration/hosting, network and security, IT infrastructure management.
  • Solid technical skill and experience/extensive exposure on various technologies (IT infrastructure both OP & Cloud, Cybersecurity)
  • Experience leading change management
  • Experience providing technical leadership in the design of highly complex IT infrastructure across on-prem, 3rd party hosted, and Public Cloud platforms]
  • Experience of GxP, knowledge of Validation and compliance are essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Essential - Mandarin is desirable
  • Life Sciences or Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Experience and expertise in project management with a proven track record to plan, execute and deliver projects on time and within budget
