Medical Assistant Dermatology

Job Description: Desert Sage Dermatology is looking for a Medical Assistant who is be dependable, organized, and has excellent communication skills. We are a very busy growing office with a new third location and cannot wait to find new staff to join our team!

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Room patients
• Obtain patients' chief complaints
• Assist our physician during patient examination
• Assist with surgical/cosmetic procedures
• Obtain photos/consents
• Suture removal and medical dressings
• Collect biopsies and send to pathology
• Venipuncture
• Schedule appointments
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments
• Clean and stock exam rooms
• Ability to travel with provider to each office
• All other standard medical assistant duties

Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities, ability to work independently, and possess good clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Preferred but NOT required: One year as a medical assistant in an office setting
• Communicates in a factual, polite, and professional manner
• You are people-focused with a willing and helpful attitude

COVID-19 Considerations:

• All offices are following CDC and State Health Department Guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing for patients, employees, and providers.

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Work Location: We have three offices that our provider travels to:

• Old Town Scottsdale
• North Scottsdale
• Arrowhead

Work Days: Monday through Friday
